Well, it’s Spring Break time. I’m looking forward to some down time. Of course, I’m going to be cleaning my house, organizing, and working on paper work. We are doing a bit of fixing in our house. We have been talking for years about putting hardwood floors in since we’ve had trauma to our carpet. (four boys running through; two ours and two the neighbors) We are also working on the paper work that is still needed. I had hoped to have everything notarized this weekend and then taken to Raleigh to apostille. Our homestudy wasn’t quite ready. I also have to go down town to the sheriff’s dept. to get fingerprints and paper work in order to get a “police clearance letter”. That may take a little longer than I expected. So, it looks as though I will wait to go to Raleigh a little later. I am comforted through all of this in that I know the Lord is going before me. He is working on the timing for us, and will allow things to fall into place as they should. In this way, our little girl will be ready for us when the Lord deems it time. It is wonderful to rest in this assurrance.

We received a draft of our Home study yesterday, and have looked through it to make sure information is accurate. I have perused the info, and sent it back this evening. We were able to get a copy of our deed, and now are trying to tie up loose ends. I spoke with our family coordinator yesterday and gave her the stats on where we were, and she said it sounded very possible to have the dossier on its way to Russia by Mid to late April. There will still be a lengthy wait after that, but one more step down. :o)
We have been very busy already this week, and it’s only Tuesday, with our Easter cantata. Brent, the boys, and myself are all participating. I’ll try to get some pics up of them in their costumes over the weekend.

Well, we had a lovely time in Charleston! We went up on Monday evening, spent the night, and then were at the USCIS by 8:00 for fingerprinting. It only took us about 30 min. So, sadly we had to spend the rest of the day SHOPPING. What a difficult thing to do, but made it through, even Brent! :o)
Our home study was completed on Sunday, so now we will be waiting on a final copy to peruse, then if it is good, we’ll get it notarized. From there, we’ll take everything to Raleigh to be Apostilled. I am praying to be able to take care of that during my Spring break. So keep us in your prayers. I would love to have everything ready to send off to Russia by mid April.

Joy
PS Posting a picture of the building where we had fingerprints. It was really foggy, so you can’t really see much but the garden out front.
Well, our home study agent is here, interviewing Brent right now. The boys and I have already had our interview. The boys did really well. I was glad they were in the mood to talk. Brent is going over finances. We have one more visit tomorrow, and then hopefully it will be done. Keep praying!!

Here is our family right now. We look forward to adding a little girl to balance us out!

Joy needs a sweet little girl to put bows in her hair and dress in frilly little clothes. The boys just don’t go for that stuff (myself included)!
