Hooray! We received both home study (Tues./Wed.) and police clearance letters today, Saturday!! All in the Lord’s good timing. I worried for absolutely nothing, He had it all planned out. I think, Lord willing, we will go to Raleigh this coming week, if everything looks good to our family coordinator. We plan to have everything notarized tomorrow, Sunday, then will fax the whole thing to Kristen (FC), and if she okays it, we will go to Raleigh to have it apostilled. We have to make three copies, two plus the originals go to AWAA, and one stays with us. From there, they will send it off to Russia. Be praying that all will go smoothly, and that the paper work will be safe to AWAA and then to Russia.

Yay, we should get our home study back tomorrow. All we will be waiting on are the two police clearance letters. Keep praying!! :o)

So I have been busy reading everyone’s blogs, and it dawned on me today that it had been some time since I had posted. Well isn’t that just boring! Really the reason is because we have not heard anything substantial. We received a call from the home study agency and they had to get a little more information about our plans once our little one arrives. She hopes to have the paper work ready by next week. If that is the case, yay, praise the Lord, we will make our goal for the end of April to send our paper work off to Russia. Be praying with us on this. I won’t be able to travel to Raleigh next week due to achievment testing next week, better not miss then!! So, Lord willing, I will be able to go the following week. That should give us ample time to get everything notarized, then faxed to our family coordinator. Once she gives us the go ahead, we will be able to have them apostilled, then will send them to AWAA. They will then send them to Russia for us.

In the news on the home front, we have a new addition to our animal life. Our neighbors across the street found a baby turtle, no bigger than a nickel. They brought him to us after school today, and informed us we were the “aquarium family” and that we should be the ones to take care of him. Muddy will now have  a playmate once Jr. gets a little more size on him. I’ll have to post some pictures in the next day or so. I told the boys tonight, pretty soon we’ll have to start charging for the neighbor kids to come and see our zoo!!

Well, we have once again been to get fingerprints taken care of. This set was done here in town, and was considerably less pricey. We needed this set in order to obtain the police clearance letter from SBI needed for our dossier. We have also been in contact with our home study agency, and needed a few additional changes or additions really to our paper work. We received our marriage license on Saturday, so now that is here, ready to be apostilled. I will work on setting up a time with our friend Allison to have it all notarized maybe next week some time. From there, we will send it to our family coordinator to ensure all is ready. If everything looks good, we’ll be off to Raleigh to apostille. Not sure at this point if I’ll try to take time off, or if I’ll end up sending it via mail. So…in getting loose ends tied up, we needed a copy of a bill. Time Warner was offline, and we weren’t able to get a copy, but in the meantime I got a cleanin’ bug. Guess what the Lord led me to? You guessed it, the exact copy of the bill we were looking to get online!! Yes, it was the Lord, I had no intentions of cleaning at all tonight!! But the Lord knew we needed that paper.

I just was recently given the book “Prayer of Jabez” and have been reading it. It has given me courage to go ahead and ask for big blessings throughout this process. I know this adoption is in the Lord’s will for us, so maybe He is waiting for us to ask specifically. One of the things the author points out is that the Lord is waiting for us to ask with untold blessings, but we never ask, thus never receive. I’m asking, starting now. ;o) Pray with us for BIG blessings poured forth from the Lord, if for no other reason, than that we will be able to give Him all the glory.
