Thought I’d post to let everyone know we heard from our FC yesterday and she let us know there are 15 families in front of us, asking specifically for girls. Timing will depend on how many new referrals come in per month. The average lately has been 2 referrals about every 2 months, so basically, one a month. We’ll wait to see what the Lord will do.  :)

Just wanted to let you know, we haven’t heard anything, which is a good thing. This means our paper work must have passed inspection by Dr. D. Keep us in your prayers, we’re praying God will surprise us with a quick turn around.

We are doing well, anticipating our dossier went on its way to Russia last week. Hearing nothing is a good thing, which means our paper work must have passed Dr. D’s inspections.

A sweet thought from the boys this weekend, they’ve decided to create a bug museum. They will have the museum as well as a souvenir shop and lemonade stand. I’ve been commissioned to make jewelry for it. Their proceeds will go towards our adoption.

How sweet was that? They are still in the planning process, I’ll try to keep you posted on their progress.

One of our adoption friends will be leaving tomorrow to meet their referral. Keep them in your prayers as they travel. I know they’d appreciate it.

My mom, her sister, and brother are all traveling to Louisiana to see their sister. I know they will have a blast!! Brent’s mom and dad are traveling here later this week, as well as my dad’s brother. Lots of traveling this week. We’ll be very busy.

I’ve been working on a doll to take to Russia with us on our first trip. I’ve just about finished her. When I get her completed, I’ll attach a picture. I’ve enjoyed making it, thinking about our little girl. The next project will be figuring our curtains for her room. I figure if I work on one project a month, by the time we go to get her, everything will be finished. It also gives me a way to count down the months.

Ok, so this week our dossier should be going to Russia. We received another email from our FC saying it should go for translation this week. The translation as best as I can tell should take about two weeks. I thought it would be longer than that. Keep us in your prayers. Now we will be pursuing seeking out grants for adoption. We will have to apply to many more than likely.

Hooray for a friend in the adoption world. She and I have emailed back and forth, mostly me getting information from her. She received a referral and will be traveling soon!! I’m so happy for she and her husband. Congrats Heather!!

For anyone interested in purchasing handmade jewelry which will of course go towards helping out our adoption, visit gemsforglory.com   You can special order any colors you’d like. I’ll include a few pictures of recent rings I’ve made for others. The wire is sterling silver. You can email me through this website, or through gemsforglory.
