Well, I hope you have all enjoyed your fill of turkey and the likes. We have had a wonderful visit with Brent’s parents and his granddad, as well as his brother and his family. Mom Coats and I enjoyed a fun day of shopping yesterday while the boys went hunting in the mountains. As I was shopping, I came upon some cute pink and white polk-dot sheets…They were too cute, and ON SALE.
So, I thought about it, carried them around with me, and thought some more. Then, I called the voice of reason. Who might that be? Well…my good ole’ mom. I told her about the sheets and then asked, is it silly for me to get them yet? She pointedly asked me, do you trust the Lord to bring this to pass? I of course said yes, without a doubt. She went on to remind me that if it were a pregnancy, I would be preparing for this child…so how is this different? Well, as if that wasn’t enough to remind this ole’ Gideon His plans for us…I was watching the movie “Facing the Giants” this same evening. And what a beautiful illustration was given…It was this:
There were two farmers who prayed for rain for their crops. The one farmer waited and did nothing…the other farmer went out and prepared his fields…which one was trusting the Lord to answer his prayers…So…which farmer are you?
Now, understand, we had planned to watch the movie for the past two nights, but it just didn’t work out that we had enough time to do so…but on this night…we watched it just after having been given the earlier encouragement as if to restate His message for me…Isn’t God so very thoughtful and good to us to encourage us right when we need it? Isn’t He good?
I’m thankful for many things tonight…first of all my Savior. I’m also thankful for a mom who’s spiritual gift has always seemed to be discernment and encouragement. Thank you Lord for giving me this Mom.

I am so excited to be coming up on our Thanksgiving break, it of course means a break from school, time with my husband and boys, and a moment to pause in the hustle and bustle of the coming season. But truly tonight, I have been challanged regarding my practice of giving thanks to my Creator and Savior the whole year through. Thanksgiving should be a constant act, in verb form if you will, not just one day of holiday. I am so grateful to Him who has created me, for life, love, and the luxuries He has bestowed upon us as Americans. I am thankful for my children (the two with me, and one in Russia), my husband, and this journey, though long it may be. I know that it has all come from His loving hands… and I am ever thankful…

Well, I’ve worked a little more on our baby girl’s room, just to feel like we are doing something, even if I’m not growing a belly.
So, I thought I’d post some pictures for all to see. Here they go:
The first picture is one of the yo-yo’s I’ve been working on. I’m going to attach ribbons to the shear white curtain, and then attach the flower yo-yo’s to the ribbon. We’ve taken mira-mist and draped it along the outside ceilings to soften it up a bit. My mom and I worked on it yesterday. When Brent came home and saw it, his first reaction was, “It looks like a princess’ room.” I said, that is exactly the point!! It made my day. Enjoy the photos.
