My Heart's Desire
I have started out with
two thoughts in mind. One, I want to share the Lord with others, and two, I want
to use the talents and interests the Lord has given me to serve Him.
There are passages in the
Bible that endear themselves to our hearts - stories that catch, hold, and move
our hearts. As I thought of these passages, one in particular holds me
captivated, Heaven. We often contemplate what it will be like. I've
thought of the gemstones the Bible describes that will be used as the building
blocks of Heaven, the streets paved with gold, the crystal sea. I've
wondered what all these look like, and what they would look like together.
I've longed for a daily reminder of my heavenly home, thus a bracelet came to
mind. All women love to exchange information about jewelry! This would serve not
only as a reminder, but also as a way to share with others what the Lord is
currently working on, and what works He has already done for us.
As I begin this journey,
I invite you to take it too. Share with others the passages these
bracelets represent. Make it your goal to share with at least one other
person each time you wear your piece. Then, share with me your
opportunities and I will place them on the website to share with others.
Each bracelet in this
series will be unique, and will come with the scripture references from which it
was inspired. As often as possible, I will use gemstones mentioned in the
Bible. When they are not available, I will use a color representation.
For instance, in Noah's Ark, it is unclear exactly what is meant by "gopher
wood", so a wooden bead will suffice. Please note that no two bracelets
will be alike even within the same series, as different materials may be
available at the time of your purchase. But each will be created with a
heart bent on glorifying the Lord. ( Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or
whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. I Corinthians 10:31)
I have thoroughly enjoyed
researching different topics and aspects pertaining to the Scriptures. I
look forward to continuing this series as time goes by, so keep watching for new
items. Thank you for your time and interest. May God richly and
abundantly bless your life through His Word.
