This bracelet is inspired by the life of Sarah, Abraham's wife. We know many things about her life and her character. One of the most noted would be that of her physical beauty. Kings were desirous of her affections and attentions, and the Bible says she was very beautiful. But when we look further, we find a more important characteristic, that of her inner beauty.  The Bible says she honored her husband, to the point of calling him lord. When I thought of Sarah and her life, I wondered what possible way would I be able to depict it with gemstones. It came to me quickly, the pearl. We associate the pearl with brides, beauty, innocence. It is not flashy or showy, but is simply beautiful.

Another reason for choosing the pearl is it's origin. The pearl is hidden away in a shell, beneath the depths of the sea, yet it is most sought after. The beauty of a wife who honors her husband, and therefore God, is also most sought after in a world which has turned topsy-turvy, and desperately cries out for women to be the wives God called them to be.
